it doesnt work

I have installed a great car mod but it only has manual gear shifting. Is there any way I could edit some file to add automatic gear shifting to this particular car mod? The rest of my mods have automatic gear shifting without any issues. Thank you.

I don't have a wheel (planning on getting one) but i do have a Xbox controller as well

When i try to launch the game nothing happens and after a few secs just stops, i have tried to run as admin, disable fullscreen optimization, compatibility mode but without any success can somebody help how to launch the game... so i just got back into cars and i used to play this like 6 months ago but now when i click play it changes to cancel as if i am playing and after 5 ish seconds it goes back to play as if i just quitted without anything loading up not even a start screen. i have already done fresh install,verified integrity,deleted the document file for the settings and stuff to go back to the original state and made auto run as administrator but nothing works so can someone please help me ive been tryna fix this all week ...
